Weekend of June 26, 2010

I went to my dad's, and these were the only pictures I took. They were of the dance party my sister had in the living room with the kids. They loved it.

While I was at my dad's, John was in Texas with his family celebrating at his brother's wedding.

She is so perfect for Mark! They are pretty cute together.

Awww... don't they look happy? So cute!

I wish I was more like my mother.

She was a ray of sunshine; always smiling, so positive, encouraging, and constantly serving others. She was an angel with a heart of gold.

My mom would call me "Sunshine" to emphasize the fact that I wasn't so cheery. She often said, "Good Morning Sunshine," just to be facetious. Once, in a letter to me, she wrote, "on a good day, you are a ray of sunshine."

So, witness my efforts to become more like my mother as I try to focus on the positive, and serve others more. I want her legacy of love to live on in me.

Many women are afraid of becoming like their mother; I'm afraid I won't.
