My Happy Place

Today I'm heading to my (much needed) happy place...

It's already started...

I put Mallary down for her nap (which may be one of my favorite parts of every day)

I found a really good playlist and am enjoying the groovy tunes while I blog this and shop online (sometimes I just blog surf to listen to different people's playlists, am I the only one?)

When Mallary wakes up, I'm going to put on my skinny jeans (not that I'm skinny, that's just what they're called) and shop for some riding boots and rain boots - because I NEED both.

Then, I'm going to the grocery store. (Did you know that I even love grocery shopping?)

Then, I'm going to go to the gym and "play" in the pool. (while enjoying quiet time away from my kids while they play in KidKare and catch a cold from some sick kid... but it's worth the quiet time.)

Then, I'm going to make dinner and try a new recipe (I'm so excited my heart is beating faster...)

I also hope to clean a little more of my work room (It's very cleansing to my soul to clean when I'm having issues.)

Then, I'm going to watch The Office. (such a happy place)

I'm excited to go to my happy place today.

Oh, wait. I'm already there.

I just love music.

**** UPDATE

I left out a very important happy place for me

Dancing to the following song in the kitchen while I put the chicken in the crock pot... a very happy place...

Where's your happy place?

Happy List

Here's my Tuesday Happy List:

1. Found some fun materials to make some new products for my store. That is always fun!

2. Found this great hair elastics and holder set at Walmart. How brilliant is that? It was like two bucks or something. What a great idea! I guess if you want to make your own you could use any of those pill containers (days of the week thingys), or those craft boxes that have all the dividers too. These hair elastics work the best, and don't pull your hair out. These are the little ones that are perfect for Mallary's hair. So fun!

3. I found some fun new music yesterday. (Side Story: I have always loved listening to music, but I rarely do anymore except when I am in the car, and sometimes when I am working on the computer. But, when I am in the car with my kids, I can't really talk to them if the music is on, or Trevan wants to listen to "his" music. Then, when I am in the car by myself, I just want to enjoy some peace and quiet and have time to think. I don't even have an ipod, even my 60 year old father uses for gadgets than I do. The only time I would listen to one is when I would run or something. When I was a kid, I used to lay by the "boom box" waiting to hear a song I like on the radio, and hurry and push record. The old school mixed tapes, you know? I used to do that for hours in the summers. When I was younger, I even stood in front of the television watching Elvis Blue Hawaii, or other musicals waiting for the songs to start and hurrying to push record. Anyway, I love music.) So, this song was on my friend's website, and I googled the lyrics, and found the artist. I'm probably so far behind, but her name is Ingrid Michaelson, you can check her out here. I really love her voice and her music. I sat here and listened to all the music on that site last night over and over instead of being productive. I may be headed to Target today to buy a cd, if they have it... I really like the song, The Way I Am, the video of it is the bottom right video that you can watch. That song has been added to my playlist for John and I's 15th Wedding Anniversary Destination Celebration. We'll mail our save the date cards on our 10th anniversary...

Anyway, just a few things that added a bounce to my step yesterday.

Hope lots of things add a bounce or two to your step today!

Someday this will be me

My friend Heidi was able to catch some great footage at the beach that I think is absolutely adorable! One day I want some random person to catch me and John doing that too.

(scroll down a little in her post)

(Maybe minus the speedo, although that does make it even cuter)

I've Decided

Today, I'm going to be like this:

Even though I feel like doing this:
