Some people turn thirty and have a mid life crisis. Not me. I have never really felt old until...
we bought a mini van!
Even then I didn't feel old, but the next day loading my kids in it and driving out of my neighborhood, I felt like I had aged twenty years. NOT EVEN KIDDING. I felt like an old lady.
Now, I drove our family's mini van occasionally in highschool, and it wasn't that big a deal. Sure, I would have liked to have been driving a cool new car, but it wasn't a big deal.
It kind of seems like one now.
Have you ever seen that Toyota Sienna commercial where they show the mom feeling cool or whatever because she drove one? Well, I felt the opposite of that. Maybe, we should have gotten the Sienna...
We looked at a lot of options, but the van seemed most economical with the most space and better gas mileage. It would have been nice to get a suburban, but the gas mileage stinks, and even really old models are expensive.
I now drive a mini van.
My consolation prize?
My heated seat.

Holly you crack me up! I LOVE our van and felt it was a great way to downsize after having my mom's old suburban! I have not felt old until I went back to work (tutoring part time) and I have a 17 year old baby-sitter...now that made me feel old. Miss you and can't wait to see you in July...wish I could see you next week for the wedding too. :0(
