I'm raising Al Gore Jr.

Seriously.

Trevan's only chore is to take items that can be recycled out to the recycle containers in the garage. This is a chore he takes very seriously... He is always looking for the recycle symbol on EVERYTHING. I keep having to tell him that just because it has a recycle symbol on it doesn't mean that our recycle center will take it.

The other day, Mallary took the top to Trevan's water bottle and put it in the trash can. Trevan went to go get it. I told him to leave it there because it's gross to go through the trash. Trevan started crying. Like, really crying. I'm sure I said, "What's the problem???" He goes, "I wanted to put it in recycling." It was so funny. I thought he had wanted to put it back on his water bottle, and I thought that was gross. I let him pull it out of the trash to be recycled and he was happy a boy again.

Al Gore would be proud.

I guess, technically, he would be even prouder if we didn't have any plastic water bottles...

One step at a time.

I swear these 5 year old boys must be born GREEN. We had a babysitter over the other day who went to throw something in the trash and Gavyn says, "Excuse me, but we recycle that...."
