Good? Friday

Friday morning, we were still in bed, I looked at the clock and told John he was going to be late for work. He reminded me it was Good Friday.

A free day!! I had visions of check marks going beside the items on my forever long to do list.

Let's just say I went to bed that night with no check marks added to that to do list. Unless, going to bed very ill was on my to do list, which I'm pretty sure it wasn't... but, if it had been, I could have checked it off. Okay, just kidding, I just realized that it was Saturday night I went to bed feeling like that. (I seriously kept waking up all night expecting my water to have broken... it didn't.)

John went downstairs to make waffles for breakfast, I got downstairs when he had pulled the first one out of the waffle iron.

"Honey, you're burning the waffles," I said.

"I just put it in there," he said, like what are you talking about?

I pulled it out, at the same moment thinking they smelled funny, and at that same moment Trevan took the first bite of his, spit it out, and said, "these taste funny!"

I tasted a piece of the one I had just pulled out of the waffle iron, and spit it back out before swallowing. "John, you used baking soda instead of baking powder."

So, I made the executive decision to go out to eat. My kids had melt downs. Really. Trevan wanted to stay home and have cheerios. Are we sure that is my child???? Cheerios over a yummy cooked breakfast?

When we pulled up to Mimi's Cafe, Trevan said, "Oh, I was crying because I thought we were going to go to Red Robins!" He devoured his chocolate chip pancakes.

Really, the worst part of Good Friday was being on the phone with Bank of America for 2.5 hours. That's right. Two and a half hours!! I WAS LIVID. To make things even better, I had to call again on Saturday and was on the phone for another hour! Oh the stories I could tell... Let's just say this better get resolved this week! I will say, I got a customer service survey in my email today, you can bet your booty I'll be filling that out!!

Anyway, I can say that Good Friday didn't exactly meet my expectations of being good.
