Bringing home Jonah

The first time you take a baby home from the hospital it's kind of weird. You walk into the hospital without children, a few days later you leave with this little (or not so little) baby.

The third time, it's not quite as weird. But, I was a little nervous. I told John I didn't want to leave the hospital. When he asked me why, I told him, "They serve me food here, clean my room, bring me pain medication, and help me with my baby if I need it." He goes, "Well, I can do all that too." "Yeah, but we have two other kids at home..." I responded. I seriously felt like I was checking out of a resort.

Jonah was even a little hesitant about leaving the hospital...

Then, once the car started moving, he was excited for his new adventure. Doesn't he look excited?? He did fall asleep, and once we got home, he spit up all over himself from the bumpy ride, I guess.

He celebrated his first day home by sleeping.

I did too.
