"Huh?"

"Huh?" is one of Mallary's newest favorite sayings. It. Drives. Me. Crazy. She will say it seven times in a row. It's not that she doesn't hear us, it's just her new thing that she knows gets on my nerves. Seriously.

Last night after dinner:

Me: "Mallary, we don't play in the trash can."

Mallary: "Huh?"

Me: "We don't play in the trash can."

Mallary: "Huh?"

Me: "Shut the trashcan."

Mallary: "Huh?"

Me: "Stop playing with the trashcan!"

Mallary: "Huh?"
Me: Sighing my trademark sigh/exasperated hiss that sounds like this, "Hauhhhhh!!!"

I look at John standing by the sink and he has this smile/smirk on his face from listening to Mallary and I's exchange. Do you know why he was smiling? She picked up, "Huh?" from him. Trevan picked it up for a while too, but I broke him of it (most of the time) by making Trevan say, "Excuse me, I didn't hear you," or "I'm sorry, what did you say?"

Despite Mallary learning new ways to bug me and Trevan, I feel like she is getting a little easier to get along with. It's fun to watch her play, and it's fun to play with her and make her laugh and giggle. However, Trevan likes to "play" with her to make her scream... I really enjoy that... In fact, as I type at this very moment... Time for me to go.
