Going Home

The flight home seemed a lot longer than the flight there. I also haven't felt that much anxiety to get on a plane since I flew home for my wedding (that is worthy of a whole other post). Not the flying part, but is my luggage going to fit in the overhead compartment, which it did, barely and thankfully. I watched the movie Marley & Me, read, and slept. We left Hawaii around 10pm on Sunday, and I got home on Tuesday around noon. So, I was pretty pooped.

Plus I had to lug my bags around too many airports. I switched luggage from the beginning of my trip to hold more stuff. Dad had to bring stuff home for us too.

So, the plane ride home was a little smelly. It was as if someone was changing a diaper right next to me. It totally disturbed my reading. For the record, it wasn't any of us.

So, my new bag broke, of course. Plus, my other carry on was too heavy (full of all my new books) to carry the normal way without breaking the bag. So, I had to jimmy rig (just call me MacGyver) my suitcase to my jean jacket which was around my waist (it wouldn't fit in any bags) to be pulled behind me. People totally did double takes and then laughed or smiled. My sisters were like miles in front of me, because I had to keep stopping to rest my arms, and my suitcase kept flipping over. It was pretty funny. Never a dull moment I tell you.

I wish I could have witnessed this! I love that you brought home some serious booty (goods, not, ahem, buns). :)
