My little swimmers

It is so fun to watch your kids try new things, and do new things!!  This summer a few light bulbs went on with swimming...

Trevan learned different strokes this time in swim lessons.  He was famous for only doing a few strokes of the stroke and then he would start in on his doggie paddle or, get this, the BUTTERFLY?!?!?!  I was watching him swim his free style then all of a sudden he started doing the butterfly!?  He did it half the width of the pool!  His teacher looked up at me, and was like, "when did he learn to do that?"  I replied that I had no idea!  So, that was his go to ' I want to be lazy' stroke... Too bad I didn't get it on video.

Jonah loves being in the water, jumping in the water, and even trying to float on his back.  It cracks me up and sometimes gives me a heart attack.  He has been sticking his face in the water all summer, but this is the first time he stuck his face in and tried to "swim!"  I kept missing it on video, and this was the best I could get...

Trevan trying to learn to dive - his teacher demonstrates how Trevan has been doing it, and then Trevan immediately does it like that again, too funny:

Trevan does a little better:

Trevan's favorite thing to do after swim lessons...  He had to pass the swim test before he could be able to jump off the diving board, and he was so proud of himself!
