I slept on the couch again last night.
If you know me, you know it's not because John kicked me out of the bed, or because I was mad at John...
For some reason, very often, I fall asleep on the couch anywhere from ten to 11:30, and stay there, usually until two or three AM. This morning we woke up at five AM. I decided, to just stay put. John couldn't decide... Then Jonah woke up, John went to get him, and then took him to our bed with him. My other children came down at their scheduled time, six-ish, (cue eye rolling on my part) to watch their favorite show. I was surprised when they sat on the floor instead of piling around me.
It's crazy, I know. This is what I remember last, John saying, "We'll watch Jay's opening monologue, then we'll go upstairs."
I never saw a second of Jay...
The thing is, I have soo much to do at night, and if I don't sit down, I stay up almost all night working/cleaning/reading... But, if I sit, or recline, on the couch, and John rubs my feet, or like last night my majorly sore hamstrings, I'm gone. Out like a light. I don't even have time to feel tired or sleepy, I just pass out. Obviously, I need the sleep, but I wake up so bugged that I fell asleep! One night (morning) last week, we woke up at four AM, John went up to bed, and I decided to stay downstairs and work. It was great, I got a ton done in the two hours before my kids woke up!! Maybe I should get up at that time every day...

When you say "we woke up at 5" does that mean you and John or you and someone else? As in the way pregnant people refer to themselves
ummm... john and me, thats funny. I've never refered to myself that way when I was pregnant. funny.
