Start of Summer

Trevan did swim lessons for the first time this year for three weeks. His biggest improvement was putting his head under water and floating and "swimming" by himself. He wouldn't put his head under the water at first. The instructor would drop her whistle in the water and the kids were to go under the water and get it. Trevan would pick up the whistle with his toes... Finally he put his head under the water, and then he couldn't stop doing it, he loved it! It was fun to watch him progress at something.

Our friends had their son do swim lessons at the same time too, and they have a little girl Mallary's age who is Mallary's BFF, so they were able to play in the water while the boys had lessons.

These girls are too funny. They give each other hugs when they see each other, Mallary talks about playing with her all the time, and then a short time later after they start playing together they are acting like sisters, arguing over or a toy, or Mallary being mean. I guess Mallary is mean to those she loves.

This is what Jonah usually did during swim lessons...

Mallary enjoying the water.

It's so sad that swimming season is over...

I am really jealous of that pool!
