Yesterday

was a good day.

I spent most of the day cooking, and watching it snow! Two wonderful things!!!

My kids were great, which made me feel like a good mom, not losing my patience once! Mallary spent the afternoon sleeping and playing happily in her crib. We stayed in our pajamas. I didn't clean a thing. Though, I did unload and load the dishwasher before retiring for the evening. (The sink is getting farther and farther away as my belly gets bigger...) I was tired from being on my feet all day, and fell asleep on the couch before American Idol was even over. I woke up to see the snowboarder on Jay Leno, hear Jimmy Kimmel crack a few jokes, and watch Jimmy Falon's opening monologue.

What's the best part? My husband is sooo good. He rubs my feet, legs, or back basically until I fall asleep. Then, sometime after I fall asleep, he gets up, does the dishes, puts away any remaining food that needs to be put away (last night it was cookies), and he even swept the floor (which gets so dirty EVERY day). Isn't that so wonderful? When I wake up he is usually asleep on the couch with me, so I don't always even know that he has done all that until the next morning.

After we finally get off of the couch to go to bed (usually sometime before 2 AM); our normal routine is for John to follow me up the stairs. He lets me lean back, with me kind of sitting on his hands, and he basically pushes me up the stairs. Isn't that nice? Trust me, carrying this baby in my belly up my steep stairs is a chore sometimes...

I'm sorry if you don't have a John at your house. You can't borrow mine.

SO sweet! I love the mental picture of you and him going up the stairs at 2 am. :)
