So, it's begun. Really, it began a little while ago, but now the comments for sure come full force:
"When are you due?" When I say April, their eyes get all big, and it's usually followed by this comment, "You look like you're going to pop!" or this comment, "How many do you have in there????"
My belly is officially in my lap. My upper thighs bump my belly during spin class. Mallary comes to sit on my lap and sits on my belly. My jeans are getting smaller. I have already gained more weight than I have gained with either of my other pregnancies, and I still have until April... What's so funny is that in both of my other pregnancies I never exercised, and this pregnancy I started out weighing less than the other one's too. I did realize, however, that I'm drinking a lot of my calories. One night, at dinnertime, I finished the last drop of my THIRD glass of milk, and then it hit me - I just drank well over 300 calories! Yikes! Plus my dinner!!!! A serving size of milk is 1/2 cup! So, yes. I've got milk.
My favorite item this pregnancy has been this style of jeans: (not necessarily the Gap brand where this image is from, but this full panel style of jeans)
I will never buy another type of jeans again when I'm pregnant! When I was pregnant with Trevan they didn't make this style the same. They came half way up the belly with drawstrings. I basically thought that style of jeans were equivalent to granny panties. Now, they are heaven sent. Also, with Trevan I was able to wear my regular jeans a lot longer, with just the hair band through the button hole trick. But, now I get bigger so much lower anything around that part of my belly is TOTALLY annoying, and very uncomfortable. Plus, you end up showing your crack to everyone when you bend over, I never have to worry about that with these jeans. This style of jeans are wonderful! Plus, they create better lines. You don't have love handle type things hanging over the side of your lower elastic waisted maternity jeans. Luckily, now most all stores carry some type of these. But, if the kind you have has a wider waistband, and you can't tell if it's tacked down anywhere, sew it down yourself, or the elastic twists underneath the material, and you've lost your smooth, clean lines. FYI: Most Old Navy and Liz Lange jeans you have to do that to. They should really know better...

Totally agree on the pants. HIGH over the belly is the only way to go! Even though it's not very glamorous. What's sad is when by the end, they turn into the kind that hit you mid-belly . . . hate that.
I feel you on this post. When I was pregnant with my first I was huge and once while getting a pedicure a tiny Asian lady asked me how far along I was and when I told her she said, "Oh, why so big?!" I (unlike you) actually wanted to slap her, but instead I just didn't tip her. :) Maybe by baby #3 I won't care so much.
So far I mainly have the low waisted maternity jeans, and you're right about the crack issue! I recently purchased some "belly ups" which are basically suspenders you wear under your shirt. They hook to your bra and the top of your pants. I just started wearing them last week, and I think for the most part they were a pretty good investment to go with the low waisted pants.
And I think you look super cute and wish we could see eachother during our pregnancies. Hmm, maybe a road trip to North Carolina is in my future, before April?? Not sure! In theory it's a good idea, but I haven't been loving car rides lately with my growing self!
i can understand the thing about strangers wanting to touch your belly. seems weird but it's so big i guess you feel like you have to touch it.
anyway, i'm so excited for you!!
I love your "huge" pregnant belly, it's very cute. And I told you that you wouldn't have time to have this baby. You should've listened :)
