TIP #1: TEACH YOUR DAUGHTER AT A YOUNG AGE TO HIGHLIGHT HER FEATURES USING MAKE UP.
SCRATCH THAT!!
TIP #2: LOCK UP YOUR MAKE UP!!!!!
Two days ago, I took a shower with Dawn dish detergent. Why? You may ask. Let me give you a hint, her name starts with an 'M.'
We were at my sisters house and all of a sudden my nephew brings Mallary into the kitchen covered in what appears to be chocolate milk?!? I'm thinking, "Who has chocolate milk downstairs?"
No, it wasn't chocolate milk - it was my foundation!!
She had gotten into my foundation and dumped it on top of her head, rubbed it all over her feet, on her hands, and on her face, all over her brand new outfit, and onto my sisters brand new carpet in their newly finished basement!
I immediately scooped her up, and stood there in the kitchen not knowing what to do or where to take her. Which shower would be best for the mess?
I put her in the bath tub, stripped her down, and tried to wash the make up off. I was only making a bigger mess and using a lot of water to do so. I tried washing her hair with baby shampoo - no luck. Then, I tried regular shampoo - no luck. I was totally annoyed, and not at all sympathetic to her crying in the tub. I was making no progress.
My sister suggested to use Dawn, and I decided I couldn't really keep the makeup off of me while cleaning her, so I ended up having to get in the shower with her.
It took two more washes in Dawn for the make up to come out of her hair. I honestly thought she was going to have semi-permanent foundation highlights for a while.
The best stuff in the shower to get all the make up off her body, ended up being my nieces Clean and Clear. Thank goodness for that stuff. I finally got both of us clean, and even had to clean the tub with the Clean and Clear.
I tried washing her clothes yesterday, and it didn't all come out. Next, I'm trying my makeup remover on them to see how that does.
What a mess! Seriously. What will she get into next????
So, I'm in the market for some new foundation. Any suggestions?
Dear Mallary,
Someday, when you come to me,
and ask me for money
to buy some foundation,
I'm going to have to say, "No."
You'll have to foot
the bill on that one.
Payback.
Love,
Mom
