Halloween

It's pretty funny that I'm doing my Halloween post in December...

October was a busy month for me, I don't think I'd even finished unpacking from the summer yet...

Needless to say, Halloween was not high on my agenda this year. I did not purchase new costumes this year either. I almost bought new one's at the store, and decided against it. I really just never took the time to even think about it. Trevan was fine dressing up in his Darth Vader costume he got for Christmas last year, and Mallary wore the monkey suit that Trevan wore when he was the same age. I did go buy a light saber for Trevan to have with his costume since we lost his other ones, and then he actually didn't want to carry it around with him anyway, but oh well.

We attended our church Trunk or Treat to kick off Halloween festivities:

Trevan was really excited to eat the doughnut off of the string, but he didn't get to take too many bites of it.
Mallary had no desire to carry around her basket (I couldn't find the pumpkins), but as soon as a few people put candy in it, she was more than happy to carry it around. She took the first opportunity she could to sit down and investigate the five pieces of candy in her basket.

Their pumpkin John helped them carve.

We went trick or treating with our neighbors. Mallary hitched a ride in the wagon and would get out to go knock on doors. Once she realized people were handing out candy, she was all over it!

It was actually rather warm the night we went trick or treating, and not only was Trevan tired, but I was tired! The last house we stopped out gave out Capri-suns!!! I was so excited! I totally opened Mallary's and drank half of it before giving it back to her. If I could have, I would have drank the whole thing, but she wanted it... Next year, I'll be more prepared.

Our neighbors had a fun little Halloween party, and the kids got these teeth in their goody bags.

Happy Halloween! (In December...)
