Half full or half empty?

DON'T FORGET TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY IN THE POST BELOW!!

There was so much going on yesterday... Here are a few of the highlights and lowlights:

High: Highs in the 80’s yesterday…
Low: Highs in the HIGH 80’s… IN MY HOUSE! (The air conditioner decided it had been working too hard in the heat and humidity and needed to take a break, and break it did.)

High: My friends watched Trevan at the pool while I went to the store.
Low: I was too busy to swim too.

High: I got packs of crayons for one cent each! (It was Thrifty Thursday yesterday…)
Low: Mallary had such a major melt down in Office Max my ears were ringing. A sales lady approached me and asked, “Are you finding everything all right?” (Translating into, “Can I help you find what you need so you can get the heck out of my store?” Or using it as an excuse to come closer to us to make sure I wasn’t abusing my child or something... like I would do anything to encourage her to be that crazy.)

High: I took the time to get ready, do my hair, and my makeup yesterday.
Low: It all basically melted before I even got out of the door. (the air conditioner…)

High: I had a nice twenty-minute drive without kids and listened to some groovy music my friend Jen sent me.
Low: I was driving to my OBGYN to have my annual “review.”

High: Blood pressure was good, and my weight was all right
Low: I had to give a urine sample… got it, and then accidentally knocked it over in the sink.

High: I saw a pregnant lady walk out of an exam room, and by the way she was walking I knew she probably just had her membranes stripped to try and induce labor, and I was so thankful that it wasn’t me.
Low: Thinking that when I get pregnant again, I might have to go through that again.

High: The “review” only took 5 minutes.
Low: I waited over an hour.

High: I made these for a gathering yesterday. (Making pretty things always makes me happy.)
Low: I got lost driving out of the neighborhood after dropping the pretty things off because I thought I knew a shortcut to where I was heading.

High: The person I stopped and asked for directions was very kind.
Low: The power window on the car would not roll back up after rolling it down to ask for directions.

High: We got much needed rain today.
Low: Because the window was broken it had to stay down while I was at the gym...

High: I enjoyed spinning to the song, “Spirit in the Sky.” (Good song to do hills on.)
Low: The class seemed like it should have been over 25 minutes in (60 minute class).

High: The breeze felt nice driving home.
Low: My butt was soaked. (broken window + rain…)

High: I had nice friends offer for us to sleep at their house with air conditioning.
Low: Our house was 87 degrees last night, plus insane humidity.

High: I have great neighbors that came to our rescue with fans (I guess I should add fans to my Emergency Preparedness kit…)
Low: We had a "FUN" slumber party in my room last night for the second night in a row.

High: John got the window in the car to roll up.
Low: He had to lay in our bed to help Mallary fall asleep, so I didn’t have my “employee” last night to help me work.

High: A cold shower never felt so good.
Low: I had to sleep sideways in my bed last night.

High: It’s a new day, and I'm going shopping!! In air conditioning!

Seriously, yesterday was just one of those days... but, after I knocked over my pee sample in the sink, all I could do was laugh about everything else that happened from that point on.

Bring on today’s highs and lows!
