Just Kidding.
There are all these tent cities on the west side of the island. I guess the economy has forced a lot of the people to the beach. Technically it is against the rules, but we think officials look the other way because it is not the touristy part of the island.
It is pretty crazy. It looks like some people live out of their cars. They have a car to sleep in and one to drive. There was one tent city that had a Holiday Inn flag posted by their tent. I meant to get a picture of it, but didn't. It was pretty funny. Some tents even had gates around part of it, or hidden in bushes. 
This isn't where we stayed but it was right next to it. I didn't get a picture of the condo we stayed in, but you can see parts of it in our convertible pictures.
Dad told us we were staying across the street from the beach. This is the view from our balcony. Does that look across the street to you?
He's pretty funny.
