Vision Board

I finally finished my vision board last month.

I had been collecting things for my vision board right after that Oprah show about the book, The Secret (was it two years ago?). You know I'll hop on any bandwagon with magazines, collages, and Mod Podge. But, I am happy to report my file folder that was labled 'vision board', is now labled with a different project for me to complete.

My vision board ended up being more wordy than I thought it would be. But, I'm a wordy, quote-y kind of person. The first page I read when I get the Reader's Digest is the Quotable Quote page. In high school I even compiled my own quote book, bound it and everything (stapled, same thing).

My vision board is my reminder board. It reminds me of the kind of person I want/need to be, of the kind of people I want to surround myself with, and that I can do anything I put my mind to. It is to the left of my computer, and right over my craft table, so I look at it a lot throughout the day.

Yesterday afternoon, I was looking at it, and I realized I had achieved something on it!! I totally remember tearing this word out of a magazine and thinking, 'Someday...'

I was in my closet yesterday, trying to figure out what to wear, and I looked up at my "these jeans are too small right now" pile, and decided I was going to try them on. Lo and behold, I was able to put them all on, with room to spare!! Why had I not tried them on sooner?!

So my vision board has already worked! The Secret is true! (Not to mention the eating right, and exercising I have been doing.)

I am looking forward to the post where I can put a picture of our new car.

The universe will bring it to our driveway...
