Here are my Tuesday Tips for inexpensive activities
(Okay, I didn't actually do that. I was on the computer and noticed they had gotten quiet and I turned around to see them doing this. Trevan was eating some Cheerios and decided he wanted to eat it like a doggy would, and Mallary likes to follow along with whatever it is that he does.)
I know things are tight right now. But, don't sweat it if you can't afford any paper. Give your child a crayon and they can draw on your floor!
(Compliments of Mallary - what happens when Mommy tries to get work done)
Okay, this one is only if your child is REALLY bored. You can give them a plastic sword, a pretend plastic saw, or a pretend dagger and have them go to town on your furniture! Why pay to give your furniture that distressed look that is so popular when you can have your child do it for free! We're in a recession you know.
Finally, if you can't think of anything else - pop some popcorn (the old fashioned way, because it's cheaper), and turn on the T.V. (get rid of your cable and enjoy the digital converter box, think of all the money you'll save)! I know some people don't want their kids to watch too much TV, but I am a supporter. How else did you expect Trevan to learn his ABC's and numbers? We're in a recession you know, I can't afford to hire a personal tutor!
Hopefully, you'll find these Tuesday Tips helpful - your children will stay entertained while saving you a few bucks.
You're welcome.
