College Roomies

I visited with two of my college roommates Sarah, and Jen last night.

We painted our toenails, made chocolate chip cookies, talked about boys, and watched a Lifetime movie.

Actually, that's what we did when we lived together, last night we just talked, went for a walk, ate dinner, and had Krispy Kremes (good thing we went on that walk). I lived with Sarah and Jen while I was engaged to John, and I haven't seen either of these funny girls in at least six years, but because of their blogs we could catch up without having to really play catch up. So, blog on!

We tried to remember what we did that summer, and really couldn't come up with a whole lot. I was busy working at my new job fresh out of college (The American Cancer Society), and summer is the busiest time there, and was also busy planning my wedding. So, I found some pictures that helped remind me of what we did. (pardon the scanned images)

Jen read a lot of books that summer, and Sarah took a few naps. (In the corner of the picture is Sarah asleep on the chair- her favorite spot. I think I came home from work to them in these spots quite often.) The picture that was in my album after this one was of the TV screen with the Lifetime logo down in the corner. Jen introduced me to Lifetime and The Gilmore Girls. Gilmore Girls was then my favorite show from that time until it ended.

We were plenty silly that summer, I'm sure. This is my favorite picture of Sarah, trying to stow away to go to my wedding.

This is where John could be found most every night starting at 10:30 when he got out of school, on our living room floor watching The Cosby Show. That summer the TV was either on the Lifetime Channel, Nick at Nite, or Fox watching American Idol. That was the first year of American Idol, I made John watch it on our Honeymoon too.

Sarah and Jen are so funny, and together they are even funnier. It was fun to visit them, and I'm glad I was "spontaneous" and made the trip!

I wish I lived close to all my college roommates. How fun would that be?!
