When he grows up
It's so fun watching your kids grow up, and watch their personalities and interests develop. I know Trevan says he wants to be an engineer when he grows up to invent things like robots, but I think he has a future in marketing.
I am going to be the coach of his little basketball team, and we decided to let the boys come up with their team name, and they decided on The Toxic Cobras. So, a few days later, I was working on the computer and Trevan came up to me and said, "I have an idea for our team uniform shirts. We should put a cobra head on the front, and do a tail on the back by the numbers. We could make the eyes red on the cobra too."
I guess, I didn't respond quick enough to his idea, because he had to add a few minutes later, "It's eyes can be red, you know, because it's toxic..."
Then, we were driving to a donut shop yesterday, and I told him the name of the shop, and he said, "I bet the O in donut is a donut instead of an 'o.' Which in fact it is. I knew he had never been there before, and it isn't in our town, so the possibility of us driving by it had to be slim, and I asked how he knew that, and he said, "if I were making the sign for it, that's what I'd do."
In case you didn't know, John and I like watching commercials and critiquing them. I love seeing other people's creativity, and what they come up with, and John likes saying what a company should have done instead of a stupid commercial.
So, I guess the apple hasn't fallen very far from the tree.
