Stolen Innocence by Elissa Wall
Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls
These two books were both interesting reads. Both books on growing up in a not "normal" environment. Both true stories, both raised differently than you and I (most likely), and both strong women.
My heart broke for both of these women at various times in their stories. It is really amazing to read how other people live in such different environments.
I enjoyed both books - though sad at times - both admirable women. Proof that children can overcome sad environments they are raised in, and not become exactly like their parents.

I love that you are doing this again! ;) So...I don't use my Nook. The only thing I've bought is the scriptures. I'm too much of a cheap wad, so sorry I wouldn't be someone who'd be good for trading books with. At least the kids get some use out of my Nook. Jeff did break down and buy Unbroken because we've heard so many good things about it. I haven't read it yet, but he enjoyed it. Maybe your review of it will win me over, I'm still a little nervous about getting into it...I'm a sensitive girl! Take care Holly!
