I didn't get the rose

Okay, so it's no secret that when our babies wake up in the night that it's John's job to go and get them.  This all started when Trevan was no older than two months.  For some reason, I just do not hear them...  (wink, wink)  So, three kids later, same story, EXCEPT when it comes to a sick child.  (My half asleep brain can distinguish the difference...) My eyes fly open, and I pop out of bed; mom to the rescue!

Three o'clock this morning I hear Trevan crying/coughing/moaning.  I give him medicine, and let him get in bed with us.  The only problem was that Jonah had already woken up earlier, and was in our bed.  We have a king sized bed, but that is still tight quarters my friends.  I slept in the middle of Jonah and Trevan.

Trevan likes to snuggle really close, and Jonah rotates in his sleep.  So I had a feverish body against me on one side and alternating legs, arms, or head in my face on the other for the rest of the night.  I kept trying to find a more comfortable position to sleep in, but it never worked.

It's no wonder that for the remainder of the night I dreamed I was on the Bachelor, competing for Brad Womack's heart.   My only problem was that I couldn't find anything to wear... I just kept changing shirt after shirt, but nothing would fit over my post babies jelly belly.

I think it's funny that I was dreaming about the Bachelor to escape kids crowding me out of my bed, and even though my kids were not in the bachelorette mansion with me, I had to have my post babies body there.

No escaping motherhood - not at three o'clock in the morning, and not even in your dreams.
