So...
When I had my baby, my nice brother in law came to pick up Mallary and Trevan and my sister watched them for a week! It was the most wonderful thing ever!!! I told her she could keep them for longer if she wanted...
I basically stayed in bed with my sweet baby all day, and then in the evenings would take the party downstairs to fall asleep on the couch...
It was so wonderful just to lie in bed and look at my beautiful baby. I had great friends bringing dinner, and really, I just got up to use the bathroom and get something to eat. The TV was never even turned on. I attempted to do a few projects. Honestly, it was a little wierd having all this "free" time and not being able to be more productive. I wished I could have felt better to get things done, but I needed to be resting and healing. (minus that one shopping trip...) It is just so sweet to be able to do nothing but enjoy my new baby, and not have to worry about anything else. Well, I guess I still worried about things, I just didn't have to do anything.
I loved being able to have quiet, and just bask in the love I had for this new little baby. It was the sweetest thing.
Isn't my sister wonderful?
Thank you, Candi!!
But, then she brought home my other kids.
Let's just say, the quiet ended rather abruptly...
That first day flying solo was pretty hairy, but the next day felt like I still only had two kids, but had to stop every three hours to feed a baby. He's that wonderful. So, he makes it so much easier. The mornings my kids play quietly, and I get work done, I totally feel like super woman.

Trevan and cousin Jay checking out Jonah up close...
When my sister brought my kids back, Trevan laid down next to Jonah and said, "Did you miss me?" Then he said, "He missed me !! Look, he's kicking his legs!"
I would bet my right toe that John is saying, "Hold it!" in this picture to copy/mock the only word Mallary seemed to say for one month straight.
John had lots of snuggle time with Jonah when I would give him up. John's company gives three weeks paternity leave which is really wonderful!!!
That one week alone with Jonah was so special and wonderful!
and quiet...
