Tip #1: Are your kids bored with all of their normal toys? Pull out the old card board box trick and it will keep them occupied... at least for a little while.
Tip #2: From one mother to the next, don't waste your time cleaning up the living room before bedtime, (I'm sure you already knew that) because this is what you get after all your hard work...
Tip#3: Don't keep trying to keep magazines on your end table when they just end up in the floor (see picture above). (Mallary is literally, as I type, pulling all the magazines off the end table... I give up!)
This is where they should go, ON TOP of the table. NOT on the floor. I was fighting a losing battle...
Tip #4: When you think you might lose your mind... bring in the reinforcements!!!
I stole my 14 year old niece, Laurajane, from my sister's house, to help me out with the biz. and the house for the next two weeks. I figured I changed her diaper, fed her, and baby sat her enough when she was little, that she owed me one... or two (weeks). Yesterday, she was able to see how much fun it's going to be... (don't let that remote in the picture fool you!) Monday is laundry and cleaning day, and oh boy did we get a lot done!! Hallelujah!!!!!! Don't worry, we went shopping last night, I have to keep the fun/work balance so she'll want to stay!!
