Tip #2: I know making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch gets old, so spice it up a little with a healthy lunch of chocolate fondue! Make it even healthier by only dipping marshmallows!!
It's also more fun if you eat it in your pajamas.
Tip #3: I know as a mother it's hard to find an extra few minutes in a day to even change a light bulb, just enlist the help of your one year old. They are always more than willing to pitch in and help.
Mallary's new favorite past time is climbing from the couch to sit on top of the end table and play with the lamp. I have moved the end table as far away from the couch as I can to prevent this, but she keeps finding a way to get up there.
Tip #4: When your child has done something that is absolutely crazy, take a picture, it will help you keep your cool!
Trevan was eating a plate of blueberries while sitting at the kitchen table, I walked away for a few minutes, and I came back to this!! He had carried the plate into the living room, and Mallary decided the blueberries would look better on the carpet, the carpet that my dad cleaned the day before!!!!!!!! Not only did I have that mess to clean up, but Mallary had stepped on some and then walked around the living room. Seriously, turn your back for three minutes and this is what you get! When Trevan started picking them up I went to get some wipeys (as good as any carpet cleaner) and passed the camera, and had to take this picture to show my dad. It really did keep me from freaking out even more. Later on that same day, I was making a cake and Trevan grabbed the chocolate chips from off of the island and dumped the whole bag onto the floor, and at that same exact moment Mallary had climbed onto the end table again. This always happens when your hands are occupied!
Oh, the joys of motherhood. Never a dull moment.
