Weekend Adventures

We went to DC this weekend to see John's best friend, Chris, graduate from law school. We are so proud of "our" graduate. I loved listening to the graduation speakers (minus dealing with Mallary at the same time), I love any "rah-rah speech" or "you did it speech." Grand accomplishments are worth all the "rah - rah!" It was fun to be with our friends and their families.

We tried coordinating which camera to look at, but it didn't work apparently.
After the coronation ceremony, Trevan wanted to see Chris, so I take Trevan up to Chris, and Trevan wouldn't go near him. He didn't recognize him in his graduation get-up. He had to double check five times to make sure it was really him before he went up to Chris. It was pretty funny. I was like, "It's Chris, he is just wearing a funny hat and dress."

John is so proud of Chris, it's so cute.
Listening to Mallary scream in the car, driving through rain 3 out of the 4 days we drove (once having to stop the rain was so bad, and one of the other times we probably should have stopped), shopping for new quiet toys for the kids because John left the church bag (with the quiet toys) at my dads, and shopping for new pants and a shirt for John because he left those at my dad's too, dealing with two sick and tired children (they were actually pretty good considering the long days we had), tolerating my sore tummy from my surgery (but not being able to pick up the kids and deal with them much because you don't want them to hit your stitches is hard when you are trying to keep them quiet), John freezing me in the hotel, and dealing with John's bad driving was all totally worth it to be there with our friends. (Chris and Becky, that's how much we love you.)

What?? You were here and I didnt know?? Sheesh! I'm sure it was busy for you guys, though. I know how those trips go. I could have watched your kids though, and thus, no need for quiet toys! Ah, but now you have the great memories! Glad it was a fun trip.
