Yesterday morning I was greeted with a rich aroma of, not Folgers, but skunk. This time of year around here is awful! Is it mating season? Have they been hibernating? What's the deal? Every year! Then, last night I came home to the same rich aroma, but ten times stronger and smellier. I walked in the house and still was TASTING skunk smell. Ugh!! It lasted until I went to bed! For some reason they like this area! However, I do not enjoy their presence nor their presents!
On a yummier smelly note. My flowers are blooming, and they smell delicious!
My first peony to bloom. These are one of my favorite flowers.
I planted these last year, and I'm so excited they came back!! These smell absolutely divine!
The sad thing about peonies though, is once they bloom they are so heavy they fall over. A lot of people put them in those cage things to keep them up, but I don't like the thought of my flowers being in a jail.
I planted my chives after we moved here, and they are still healthy and hearty.

They smell yummy too, like chives...
I think my mini carnations are adorable!! I love the smell of carnations! I planted these last year as well, and they came back stronger. Yay!
I love the smelly flower part of spring!

With you on the peonies. I wish they didn't fall, but I'd rather see them gracefully piled on the ground than propped up in those cages.
GORGEOUS! Love the mini carnations!
those are so beautiful.
